First let us define what what life insurance is in order to better understand what term life ins is. An Alabama life insurance is a contract that is entered into by an individual, which owns the policy, and the insurance company. Under this agreement, the company will pay the individual an agreed upon amount of money in the event that the individual dies, for example. The individual on the other hand will pay the company what is called a premium at regular times.

A term life ins, or sometimes called as term assurance, is a type of life insurance the provides an individual coverage for only a limited period or term. Its main difference with a regular life insurace is that it gives “pure” insurance. It does not have other features found in “cash value” policies. Generally, a term insurance policy will offer you a term of 1 year which can be renewed for up to 30 years. The premium remains constant while the term has not yet expired. Some insurance compaies also give you th choice to choose a specific age as a term end.

A term insurance thus will only release the benefit if you die within the term. While you may be hesitant to get one because of this, this feature in fact is its best quality. A term life insurance is pretty useful especially if you’re still young. People with limited income can utilize this since they encounter situations where the need declines as time passes.

The biggest disadvantage of a term insurance is that if you decide to renew it, the premium that you have to pay is higher. But if you can give the company evidence of your insurability, then there is a chance that you could get a lower rate.

A term life ins is just one of the many types of life insurance that you can select. This type of insurance works well if you’re planning for a short coverage. Try it out yourself.
